Statement of Faith

View of Scripture: We affirm the authority of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, which are divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit and perfect for instruction, correction, teaching and revelation.

The Trinity: We affirm one living and true God, who is creator, redeemer and sustainer of all things. God is perfect and equal in all aspects, existing in the distinctive persons of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Person and Work of Christ: We affirm Jesus Christ as God's only begotten Son conceived of the Holy Spirit. We affirm Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary, and was sinless in His life, being fully God and fully man. We believe in Jesus' substitutionary atoning death, His bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven and His perpetual intercession for His people.

Regeneration: We affirm that by nature and choice people are sinners and therefore deserve condemnation. However, through faith in Christ and accepting Him as Lord and Savior in our lives, we can know our redemption from sin and the otherwise eminent destruction. Apart from God's grace through faith there is no other way to God.

The Church: We affirm the Church as the body of believers of which Christ is head. The church is called to be God's vehicle for the building, equipping, winning and multiplying of disciples.

Eschatology: We affirm the return of Christ in which there will be a bodily resurrection of the saved and the lost in which will be the divine judgment and the eternal existence in either heaven or hell.

Gifts of the Spirit: We affirm the empowering of the believer through the gifts of the Spirit to do the work of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and in establishing the kingdom of God on Earth.

Baptism: We affirm the ordinance of baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit as the believer identification with Jesus' death, burial, resurrection and the believer's new life in Christ.

Lord's Supper: We affirm the ordinance of the Lord Supper as a remembrance of Christ's sacrifice. It should be practiced regularly and offered to all who know Christ personally as Lord and Savior of their life.

Evangelism: We affirm the necessity for the procreation of God's kingdom and the making of disciples. Scripture commands us that we should make disciples of all nations, baptize them and teach them to obey all that Christ and the disciples have taught us.

Church Discipline: We affirm the necessity for the Christian to exemplify Christ in all that they do. We are to live a life befitting the glory of God, and be blameless before the world. I do also affirm that we are to live our lives as good and faithful stewards of all that God has mercifully entrusted in our care.
